Biblical Counseling

“Brothers and sisters, if anyone is caught in any transgression, you who are spiritual should restore him in a spirit of gentleness.” (Galatians 6:1a)

At FBF we view Biblical Counseling as a form of intensive discipleship, where mature, adequately trained Christians help people apply God’s Word to their particular struggles or life problems.  We believe that through the counsel of His Word and the ministry of His Body, the church, the Lord has already provided everything necessary for his people to live holy lives.  Our Biblical Counseling ministry brings hope and help to people who are caught up in the effects of life dominating sinful thoughts, desires and actions.

Who do we counsel with?  Our priorities are:

  • Our own church family.
  • Believers who are not receiving counsel from another church.
  • People in our community who are seeking help and are open to the Scripture as the  primary source of counsel.

Who are our counselors?  Members of the FBF family who have received extensive training and hand’s-on experience in Biblical Counseling minister as counselors and mentors.

How do I become a Biblical Counselor?  FBF requires our counselors to  complete a formal Nouthetic Counseling course, to participate in regular ongoing training at FBF and to complete a minimum of 10 hours of counseling observation.

How can I receive counseling?  Contact Faith Bible Fellowship for more  information.
